Pin Ups and Greasers

The pin up style is an extremely popular one even in today's day and age. It can be characterized by these following fashion items and styles-

    - Swing dresses or pencil dresses

    - Hoop and pencil skirts (preferable high wasted)

    - High wasted skinny jeans, generally in Capri form

    - Polka dots on really anything is often seen in Pin up style

    - Any type of tight fitting top as pin up very much shows off curves and is a very form fitting style

    - Short heels such as Mary Jane's

When it comes to hair for Pin ups, sometimes the bigger the better. Hair can be as simple as waves and a single victory rolls or it can be as extreme as teasing and large victory rolls on each side of the head. Pin up hair can also be characterized by the famous bandanna look which usually wraps around a set of victory rolls.

The Greaser look is far simpler than that of the pinup. When it comes to stereotypical Greasers, they are their hair slicked back (hence Greaser title), generally a white t-shirt, jeans and oftentimes converse to finish the look. This look is called the Greaser look because often they looked greasy from working on cars and would use grease to slick their hair back.
